Sheen reigns Supreme
Fellow lip product lovers, rejoice! MAC So Supreme brings a sweet and lovely close to the summer season with its Sheen Supreme lipsticks and lipgloss tints. The launch touts that it’s “sheerer than ever.” But don’t mistake sheer with a lack of pigment, because the shades we checked out pack a pretty punch!
The Sheen Supreme Lipstick portion of the launch includes five new, limited-edition shades. Fans of light-feeling lipsticks will be pleased. I think the formula is very similar to Cremesheens, but glossier. Like Cremesheen, Sheen Supreme is really smooth and creamy, and comfortable to wear. They have a fainter version of MAC’s signature vanilla scent.
Sweet Grenadine and Pleasurefruit
The two shades that we tried, Sweet Grenadine and Pleasurefruit, are beautifully pigmented. But they also have a lipgloss-type transparency to them. Pigment and transparent- it’s kind of an oxymoron, isn’t it? Like Jumbo Shrimp! But it’s true and it’s what I love about them.
swatches: Sweet Grenadine and Pleasurefruit
Pleasurefruit is a beautiful watermelon pink. It’s just as described, bright and warm. Sweet Grenadine is a bright orange with a touch of coral. Its beauty reminds me I’m nowhere near done with orange!
Heart and Seoul, Gwi-Yo-Mi, Glorious Intent
The Sheen Supreme Lipglass Tint section includes eight new, limited-edition shades, four that are inspired by Asia, all that have “PH pigments work with the body’s natural temperature for fresh, custom colour.”
Heart and Seoul, Gwi-Yo-Mi, Glorious Intent
These are click applicators with brushes – probably my least favorite of all lipgloss delivery systems. I don’t like brushes, I don’t like not being able to see the product and I don’t like twist application; so it’s a 3-strike sort of deal for me. But it’s still lipgloss. It’s like your least favorite ice cream flavor, it’s still delicious!

Like the lipstick, I found the Lipglass Tint to be sheer but pigmented Again, it seems to be a slightly fainter scent of traditional lipglass and they definitely feel more silky/slippery. That silkiness does mean that travel a bit. I had it heading out on the ol’ lip line highway within an hour.
Heart & Seoul is a light peachy-coral crème. Gwi-Yo-Mi is bright raspberry. Glorious Intent is a juicy berry tone.
Did you wonder what Gwi-Yo-Mi was? I did. It’s a K-Pop song and a slang term for someone who’s cute (think Kawaii). Now we both know!
So we heartsters, are you craving Sheen Supreme to make you Gwi-Yo-Mi?

Oh MAC, sign me up for all of them! SO many fabulous colors to choose from I will not be able to just get one!
Glorious Intent is GLORIOUS!
I love those liptints! There is something that is so consistently fun about buying them and wearing them. It is an instant makeup high!
I hate clickpen glosses, but these do look pretty… but it’s the lipsticks that really intrigue me! The balance of pigment and “sheer”-ness is perfect.
The Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Pleasurefruit looks like it’s a winner. However, I like the look of both of these! I’m going to have to check them out at the boutique. Great pigmentation on the lipsticks and I don’t mind a click pen if they work well. Nice stuff!
I have been super keen to try Glorious Intent. It looks gorgeous!! I am such a geek for vampy berry/plum shades.
LOVE everything about the lipsticks. The glosses look great but I think the lipsticks are more worth the $ :)
Oh! Sweet Grenadine must be mine!
I was lucky enough to snag the Gwi-Yo-Mi lipglass and like it a lot. Agree with your thoughts on the click applicator, @Stef. I feel like its not coming out and then all of the sudden there is way too much! This goes on nicely and the pigment lasts for a very long time; I eventually had to wipe it off. Good product and I would def buy!
Pleasurefruit is my kind of pink !
It’s beautiful .

I’m having Sweet Grenedine. I am. On my way…
While the click n’ brush isn’t my favorite method of lipgloss either, Heart & Seoul is gorgeous on. It ended up being a “my lips but better” color that’s perfect for everyday and there is a nice moisturizing feeling to the consistency.
@hao9703 let me try out Glorious Intent and I loooove it. The color isn’t super unique–it’s a rich berry. But I love that it leaves a stain on my lips, like I’ve just had a popsicle or smushed berries onto them. I didn’t personally have any issues with the color bleeding or fading unevenly. I don’t love that it’s $20 for 0.08 oz, versus a regular Lipglass, which is $15 for 0.17 oz and has a doe foot applicator, which I greatly prefer.
I am amazed how much I love the click pen. It makes application that much more fun.
