Featuring Skineez Skincarewear, an athleisure meets skincare must have
Have you checked out the beauty selections at CVS lately? I’ve been a fan ever since I joined their ExtraCare Beauty Club. I got a 10% Shopping Pass just for signing up, a special offer during my birthday month and it seems like I’m always earning ExtraBucks Rewards on my beauty purchases (that means discounts on future purchases, more than likely to be more beauty purchases!)
But it seems like their already awesome beauty aisles have gotten even more so. I recently took a stroll through my local CVS to see the must have new beauty and was blown away. A huge variety of brands, K-Beauty, an impressive range of skincare, devices and innovations I’ve never seen before…I felt like I was in a Sephora!
Check out some of the new items you should scoop up…
Did you know you can find Eva NYC at CVS? I was so delighted to find them in the haircare section. The Brooklyn-born line (and sister company of Amika) is professional quality, now at drugstore prices. Plus, is this the prettiest packaging you’ve ever seen or what? I got HUGE 16.9 oz bottles of the Argan Oil wonder duo Clean It Up Shampoo and Soften Up Conditioner for just $6.99 each!
I have approximately 20 mascaras on my vanity right now, but when I saw the Maybelline Volum’ Express The Colossal Big Shot Mascara in Poppin Purple from the x Shayla Collection I knew I had to pick it up. I’m so glad I did. The bright purple is pretty shocking on the wand, but on your lashes the color only pops out at certain angles. But oh, when it does! It adds such an interesting dimension to eye looks. As the name suggests, the formula and big brush add a ton of volume.
How’s this for beauty innovation? Would you believe me if I told you that there are garments that not only keep you warm, but moisturize and treat your skin at the same time? Believe it! Meet Skineez Skincarewear, available now in the skincare aisle at CVS. The pieces (capris, compression socks and fingerless gloves, $29.99 online, but only $19.99 in-store!) are unlike anything you’ve seen.
Each garment is pre-treated with more skin care ingredients than in a typical jar of moisturizer. These ingredients, like Shea Butter, Apricot Oil, Rose Hip Oil and Vitamin E, are microencapsulated and infused in the fabric, then activated by the friction of the garment against the body’s natural heat.
So not only are you looking cute in your super soft athleisure wear, you’re moisturizing your skin at the same time! After 10 washings, you spray them with the Replenishing Garment Spray ($19.99) and you’re set for another round of wear.
The compression socks are great for flights and the capris are perfect on their own or under skirts. But I have flipped for the gloves. My hands are always dry and my office is always cold. I’ve been wearing these while I work and now I’m multi-tasking (and, not having to worry about greasy fingers on my fingers from constantly applying hand cream!) Best of all, they really work. My hands are noticeably softer after just a few days of wear. Genius.
As a lipstick/lipgloss junkie, I get excited when new formulas come out. Like, real excited. So it wasn’t even an option not to pick up the COVERGIRL Melting Pout Gel Liquid Lipstick. Since it’s a gel formula it has a softer feel than most liquid lipsticks (i.e. it’s less dry) and a slick, shiny look that I love. I picked up the shade Don’t be Gelly, a rich magenta.
Finally, are you as sheet mask-obsessed as me? Then CVS is where you want to head because their selection is massive! I was able to pick up four that I’ve been wanting to try, including the adorable K-Beauty Creme Shop Slow Down, Skin! that makes you look like a panda for 15 minutes.
So we heartsters, have I convinced you beauty lovers need to head to CVS?
