Is there a vacation on your horizon this summer? I’m jealous. But, not so jealous that I wouldn’t point out the must-haves that should be in your suitcase. Look no further than Ulta for the latest and greatest items that will assure you a happy holiday.

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler Eye Shadow Palette ($30)
The new palette from a company that knows a thing or two about beautiful eyes! (They’re the leader in brows.) Eye shadow palettes are great for travel because you can get multiple looks from one product. The Shadow Couture World Traveler Eye Shadow Palette is especially great for the range of shades and finishes; from neutral to vibrant, to matte, satin and metallic. You can also intensify each color by apply it wet. Plus, the word “traveler” is right in the name, in case you were wondering if this was the right choice. Answer: it is.

2. Pür Minerals Miracle Mist ($10 for 1 oz)
Vacations, especially ones that involve fun in the sun or frolicking in waves (which, I hope yours does!) can really do a number on your skin. Miracle Mist will be your savior. It moisturizes dry, tired and stressed skin with more than 70 essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and amino acids. Bonus: it also sets mineral makeup. Bring it with you wherever you lounge and listen as your skin says “ahhhh!”

3. St. Tropez Gradual Tan Everyday Body Moisturizer ($30)
Trust St. Tropez with your tan, they’re much more reliable than the sun! Apply Gradual Tan Everyday Body Moisturizer daily while you’re away for a buildable tan and moisturized skin. You’ll return with a gorgeous (healthy) glow.

4. BECCA Luminous Body Perfecting Mousse ($34)
When you reach your desired level of tan, perfected it with this. Luminous Body Perfecting Mousse is exactly that. With a hint of shimmer and bronze hue, it conceals imperfections and evens tone. It’s also water and transfer resistant so you don’t have to worry about losing it in the pool or smear it all over your little white dress.

5. Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Nail Enamel Set ($12.99)
Who wants to worry about chips on vacation? (Other than the kind that come with guacamole.) Look to a gel (or gel-like, in this case) to make sure your manicure is there to stay. Wild Card is absolutely on-trend, a bright cobalt blue crème.

6. IT Brushes For Ulta: Your Superheroes Full-Size Travel Brush Set ($50)
Travel brushes are handy. But I confess, I have a hard time getting used to their shrunken size. Problem solved by IT Cosmetics, of course. This is a travel set but with full size brushes. Six cruelty-free necessities are included: Powder, Foundation, Crease, Concealer, Shadow and Liner/Brow. And in case you’ve never felt IT’s brushes before, they are some of the softest and most luxe ones around.

7. Lipstick Queen The Pretty Pair ($34)
There is no lipstick need that this pair can’t fill! Nude and Red go with everything and are considered by some to be daring choices – when better to wear them than vacation? Saint Pinky Nude is flattering, nude pink with a moisturizing, glossy finish. Medieval is a vitamin E enriched, sheer lip color that reddens lips like you’ve just eaten a popsicle.

Please note: we did not include sunscreen on this list. Because, duh, it’s a given you need sunscreen! It’s also a very personal thing, so make sure to grab your favorite.

  1. @stef — I am with you! I am jealous of the vacationers as it is “prime time” at my job. As a business traveler, I am lusting over the IT Cosmetic travel brushes. I want to whisper “come here my pretty”

  2. Makeup remover wipes are a must have for me – perfect for when you’re tired or crunched for time. It can be kind of tricky to find wipes that are also safe to use for eye makeup removal, but I’ve been liking the Olay Fresh Effects ones a lot lately!

    1. That’s a great idea @heather! I keep makeup wipes in my bedside table for when I’m feeling lazy. And there are lots of lazy days on vacation (hopefully!)

  3. You didn’t miss a thing with this vacation list– thanks for the reminder to include sunscreen! As for tanners, you can’t go wrong with St. Tropez for a natural-looking tan. Their Gradual Tan Everyday Body Moisturizer makes it so easy!

  4. I am loving Lipstick Queen lately—they can do no wrong! Medieval is such a great lippie—it’s your lips, but so much better AND it has the feel of a moisturizing balm, which is something I love in a lipstick. If you haven’t yet, you need to check out Frog Prince, @stef – it’s green that turns into the perfect shade of pink. Magical! :)

    1. I have not tried Frog Prince. But I have been eying it profusely!

  5. IT Brushes are fantastic! This looks like a great travel set. And I have always been a massive fan of Lipstick Queen!!! Medieval is a classic product that is perfect for vacation!!
