Green Monday Review: Go! Gorgeous Kit and Wrinkle Reversing Serum
As I approach the big 40 I’ve noticed my skin has more needs than ever before. Not only do I still get the occasional pimple, but now I have dry skin, fine lines and wrinkles to deal with. I’ve tried more skincare lines than I care to admit looking for the perfect solution to all my skincare needs.
My skin is picky and it lets me know really quickly if a product doesn’t agree with it. So when I received a few goodies for testing from Skin Authority (who our friends at BeautyUndercover hooked us up with), promising “results oriented” products using naturally effective ingredients, I was eager to give it a try.
Found in hundreds of high-end luxury spas, Skin Authority is one of the fastest growing skin care brands and this Green Monday I had the chance to see why eco-friendly beauty lovers are clamoring for the brand. The entire line was developed to deliver “immediately visible results and lasting changes” with formulas using the most naturally effective ingredients available.
And with sustainability in mind, Skin Authority strives to use renewable energy sources and incorporate eco-friendly techniques into every product. Plus, this cruelty-free company uses recycled plastics and glass and does away with unnecessary outer packaging.
Nope, no animal tested ingredients here!
I was able to try a range of products from Skin Authority by testing the Go! Gorgeous Kit. Designed to last for a month of use, this kit comes with a daily cleanser, resurfacing accelerator, tri-power peptide hydrator, and sunscreen moisturizer spf 30.
Retailing for $52 it’s the ideal size for giving this skincare line a try without investing a ton of money upfront. I’ve been using this kit along with the Wrinkle Reversing Serum for almost the full month now and I have to say I’m happy with the overall results.
The Daily Cleanser (which contains 3% glycolic acid) was one of my favorites I tested. Not only was it gentle on my skin, but it was a very effective cleanser. It suds up nicely and leaves your skin feeling soft afterward. My only complaint was the size of the tube – I ran out of this before my month was up since I used it twice a day. It would be nice if the cleanser would come in a little larger of a tube since it gets more use than all the other products.
Next up, was the Resurfacing Aaccelerator. This product is designed to exfoliate and accelerate the body’s natural cellular turnover cycle. It leaves your skin feeling dewy and I love what it does for my skin. This super light gel soaks right in. I apply it morning and night and just a little goes a long way.
The Tri-Power Peptide Hydrator is the nighttime moisturizer of this kit. It contains vitamins A, B, C, and E and did a wonderful job of keeping my skin moisturized throughout the entire night. My skin still felt soft in the morning which is a big plus in my book.
The daily moisturizer that comes with the kit is the Sunscreen Moisturizer with spf 30. Out of all the products, this is the only one that didn’t agree with my skin. The moisturizer feels more like a sunscreen than it does a moisturizer. While giving me excellent protection from the sun, it just wasn’t moisturizing enough for my dry skin. I found myself using another daily moisturizer under this and then applying the sunscreen on top. I think this makes an excellent sunscreen, but my skin just needed more moisture than this could provide.
Lastly, I tested a full size Wrinkle Reversing Serum. The serum is light weight and absorbs quickly. It was created to “fill” wrinkle folds and reduce fine lines using their SGF-4 Technology. According to their website, “This ground breaking product harnesses the power of four natural skin nourishing proteins called Skin Growth Factors to immediately transform depleted, damaged cells to a restored, vibrantly youthful state.”
I used it around my fine lines near my eyes and mouth. While I’ve only been using it for a short time, I do love the results I’m seeing. My skin looks smoother and the fine lines are not as noticeable. This serum sells for $125 which is a bit on the pricy side. However a little of this product does go a long way, so you could probably get several months use out of one bottle. If you’re obsessing over lines, the results just may make it worth your hard-earned money.
Pros:
• Skin Authority offers a Free Skin Care Analysis (you can call and discuss which products are best for you)
• The Go! Gorgeous Kit gives you enough product for one month which is a great way to try out this line
• Products are formulated for maximum results using natural ingredients
Greens:
• No parabens, dyes or added fragrances in any of their products
• Does not test on animals
• Packaging made with recycled materials
Cons
• Ran out of daily cleanser before my month was up
• Daily moisturizer is more of a sunscreen than a moisturizer
• Serum is pricy
Overall, my skin has been happy and healthy using these products. If you are a natural skin care lover, I recommend you respect (and try) Skin Authority.

This sounds like a great line and the kit seems like a great intro! Especially if some items are pricey, it enables you to “try before you buy”.
Great review!
I’ve never tried anything from Skin Authority, but this review has me intrigued – love the clean look of the line, the spa background, the natural ingredients and eco-forward philosophy. And I too am a sucker for intro kits – they’re always so much fun and I love how you can get a feel for a line you may not know.
I had an eye cream from Skin Authority that worked really well for me, so I loved reading your take on these other products, @tiffany . The serum in particular has my attention. Are you still loving it?
