Plus, a look at Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night moisturizer
Living in Los Angeles, I’ve attended my fair share of fab events. Gift bags, passed appetizers, glasses of bubbly; I’ll admit, it never gets old! Us LA folk are lucky that way. But what if I told you that there was a fab event coming to YOUR hometown? I can’t say you’ll get bubbly, but you will get beauty advice and that’s just as exciting.
It’s called Night at the W and it’s happening at a Walgreens near you on Wednesday, May 22 from 4 – 9pm. Yes, Walgreens! If you haven’t visited their beauty section lately, it’s the perfect time to do it. (Me? I’m there once a week.) You’ll have the chance to speak to Walgreens specially trained Beauty Advisors and they’ll help you find products that will seem like they were made specifically for you.
In addition to great deals on Neutrogena Skin Care and free samples, there’s also a huge sweepstakes happening that night with some amazing prizes. More on that in a minute…
I took my weekly trip to Walgreens to scope the Neutrogena aisle pre-event. I’ve been a long time fan of the line; their Transparent Facial Bar was my go-to for YEARS and used to be the only product I needed for my skin. But these days, it takes more than just soap to keep my skin looking good. So I asked their Beauty Advisor what Neutrogena products she suggested.
After asking me some questions about what I liked (products that worked fast and well) and didn’t like (sunscreen snob, here!) she took me straight to the Rapid Wrinkle Repair line, which is said to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles in just 1 week.
Because of my said sunscreen snobbiness, I chose the Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night Moisturizer ($21.99), though she stressed the need for one during the day due to the high levels of Retinol in the product. The line also has a day moisturizer with SPF 30, serum and eye cream.
There’s a combo of ingredients in this that give a one, two, three punch to wrinkles: Retinol SA; proven superior to other forms of Vitamin A for its ability to penetrate the skin’s surface, Glucose Complex; a booster that accelerates skin’s activity and Hyaluronic Acid; which adds line plumping moisture.
There are a lot of things I like about this. It delivers a lot of rich moisture (like a cream) but it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave me looking slick (like a lotion.) I also love the substantial-feeling glass bottle. But best of all, I don’t even think it took a week for my skin to start looking better! My skin definitely looks more hydrated and feels noticeably smoother, two things that are like wrinkle kryptonite.
It does have a floral scent. But I have the most sensitive nose in the world and I don’t mind it at all.
Now about that sweepstakes. It’s called Expect the Unexpected and anyone who attends their local May 22 Event and purchases a participating Neutrogena product (like the Rapid Wrinkle Repair line) will be entered to win. Prizes include a trip for two to the Amara Hotel in Arizona (with a $1,000 allowance for spa treatments!), $50 Walgreens gift cards and Neutrogena gift baskets. Check out the complete details HERE.
So pop by Night at the W and check out the latest in beauty and you may just find yourself a winner. At worst, you’ll leave with some new beauty knowledge, and that’s never a bad thing!
