Costco Find: Palette perfection at a pretty price!

Pati Dubroff… you may not have heard of her, but famous people have. Pati is a talented makeup artist to the stars, and I mean serious A-listers. Her work has been seen on countless runways and magazine spreads. She’s kind of a big deal.

Let’s just put it this way, if she’s good enough for Charlize Theron, Kate Bosworth, Julianne Moore, Gisele Bundchen, Kirsten Dunst, Gwyneth Paltrow, Megan Fox, and numerous other gorgeous celebrities, she’s probably pretty darn good. Pati brings out the natural beauty of her subjects, and uses the tools of the trade well.

So while you can’t have Pati doing your makeup every morning, you can come close with the Pati Dubroff Perfect Palette – a dozen lovely neutral shades of eyeshadow and one automatic pencil eyeliner, complete with instructions for Pati’s Red Carpet Ready neutral eye look.

The colors pair nicely together – there are light shades, (brow bone, inner corner of the eye), medium shades (lid, crease), dark shades (outer corner, lashline), and matte and shimmery shades. There’s NO GLITTER, which definitely ups the appeal of this palette.

The shadows have a nice smooth texture, and the cardboard palette itself is large enough to contain a decent amount of product and to hold easily, while still being compact and thin. And the best part about this palette is that you can pick it up for less than 20 bucks ($17.99 to be exact) at select Costco locations (unfortunately, it’s currently sold out online).

Although it’s not included, be sure to use a good eye primer to get the best color intensity and length of wear with these shadows. The medium pigmentation makes it hard to over do it on the color, but for those who expect a makeup artistry palette with intense pigmentation, you’ll need to build up the color a bit.

The Pati Dubroff Perfect Palette is a great buy as a travel palette, or for anyone looking for an inexpensive neutral palette with numerous colors. Or, someone just getting into makeup or who wants a basic palette that’s good for work day makeup.
