On the heels of last year’s “Pixi Pretties” YouTube beauty influencer collaborations, Pixi has teamed up with three more influencers for a brand new launch of pretty palettes. I got to check out the Pixi Weylie Hoang Dimensional Eye Creator Kit ($20) created in conjunction with YouTube “lifestyle vlogger” Weylie Hoang.

The three newest Pixi Influencer collections…

I perused Weylie’s channel (ilikeweylie, which boasts a crazy 1.6 million subscribers!) to get an idea of her sensibility and style. This 20-something dynamo has so many videos on her channel, it’s broken down into categories– even subcategories– like Relationship, DIY, Fashion, Advice. However, I’m guessing it was her 160+ Makeup videos that sealed the deal with Pixi.

Here’s the result of the Pixi + Weylie Hoang collaboration, a combo shadow palette/dual-ended liner that is a warm-neutral-loving girl’s dream-come-true. Weylie is cute as a button and so is the eye duo she helped create. The palette is super-compact, great for your upcoming summer travels. In fact, it’s small enough to tote in your everyday makeup bag.

The palette measures just under 3.5″ x 2.5″, but don’t be fooled by its diminutive dimensions. It packs plenty of color because practically every bit of real estate is filled with product. I hate wasted space, so great job with this design, Pixi!

The colors are rosy neutrals that include three creamy mattes and three frosty sparklers
(shown in order on the swatches above)
Itty Bitty (champagne frost)
Gurl! (rose gold frost)
Potato (medium brown matte)
Sista (medium brick red matte)
Bomb (dark bronze frost)
Beutis (dark brick red matte)

If neutrals with warm red undertones flatter your skintone, you will love this palette. Even though reddish colors don’t usually work with my coloring, four of the six shades were neutral enough to do the trick; only the two brick shades were too red for me. The shadows are buttery, easily blendable and highly pigmented, and the colors wear for hours without fading or creasing.

Don’t be fooled by its diminutive dimensions. It packs plenty of color…

As nice as the palette is, I’m even more excited about the duo-ended liner. The kohl crayon end is sharp and precise, and the formula is creamy black. It glides without tugging or skipping. Perfection! The felt tip/liquid end has a firm, pointy brush that enables the easiest winged cat eye ever.

A light touch is all it takes because there’s lots of product on the brush. Once I figured this out, I couldn’t believe how much I loved this liner. Psst, Pixi… I’m crossing my fingers that you end up offering the liner as a standalone purchase. We all need one in our makeup bags!

Because we’re talking about Pixi, you can be sure that the products are paraben-free, cruelty-free, and pretty as can be.
