If patience is a virtue, then I’m the least virtuous person you know. Trust me, I never did have much of an attention span, but this quality has only gotten worse as I’ve grown older and busier. I don’t have time to wait for slow-but-steady. I want results now.
Thank you, REN Skincare, for taking care of my most dreaded skincare need—exfoliating– in a speedy, efficient manner! REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask ($55) has instantly made me forget that exfoliation is usually a slow, ongoing process. One application of this mask is like a month of regular scrubs or peels.
If you’re thinking exfoliation means labor intensive, think again. The Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask lets you lounge around for 10 quick, relaxing minutes while it removes dead skin cells and cleans out pores like no scrub I’ve ever used. The secret is a cocktail of four potent Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) including glycolic acid from pineapple, lactic acid from passion fruit, citric acid from lemon, and tartaric acid from grape. It’s a fruity powerhouse!
Just take a gander at the clinical results I found on REN’s website :
In a study conducted on 22 women after just 1 use:
- 100% of women reported a radiance and firming effect
- 96% of women considered their skin smoother and firmer
- 95% of women reported a visible pore minimizing effect
- 91% of women considered their skin more radiant
- 77% of women reported less visible lines and wrinkles
Now, 22 women is a small pool of testers, but before you scoff at these rave reviews, let me chime in. I would give a resounding YES to every one of these test factors!
Even my initial use left me awestruck. I washed my face then spread the thick, honey-like product over my face and neck, avoiding my eyes. It felt slightly tingly, but nothing extreme. Ten minutes later, I dampened the enclosed cloth and wiped off the mask. Even while I was rinsing my face with warm water, I could feel a new smoothness. My skin looked bright and radiant and even my neck looked rejuvenated… instantly!
With continued use, REN promises the mask will reduce sun damage, hyperpigmentation, even old scarring (I’ve got my eye on you, old chicken pox scar!) Because the mask is so powerful, it’s recommended for weekly use. I wish I could get a boost like this more often, but even if I don’t have patience, I do try to practice common sense.
we heartsters, have you ever tried REN? What product should we check out next; share it in the comments!
I’ve been eyeballing this mask for a while now! It sounds amazing…gonna have to finally splurge on this bad boy! Side note: chicken pox scars are THE WORST!!!!
The mask sounds great, I have had a hard time with getting rid of dead skin, and as I age need a product like this to help out more and more often.
I am also super impatient when it comes to my skin! The price seems pretty reasonable for its effectiveness too.
