I’m rather particular about my eyebrows. Even when I’m in a rush to get out of the house and throw my personal “minimal amount of makeup” onto my face, I almost always do my brows (along with some tinted moisturizer and mascara). I feel like a few small swipes of brow product instantly transforms me from disheveled to darling.
Part of my obsession probably stems from the fact that I have super dark, super full brows…and may have gotten teased about having a unibrow as a middle schooler, which I later overcompensated for by going tweezer-crazy. Thankfully, brow products, like the Salon Perfect Perfect Brow Pomade, are now all the rage – I don’t have to be blessed with naturally perfect brows, I can just look like I am!
I personally like my brow products to not be limited edition products, inexpensive and readily available – while they’re a staple in my makeup bag, I’d rather spend money on fun and colorful products. Salon Perfect fits the bill!
While I hadn’t heard of Salon Perfect prior to testing out their Perfect Brow Pomade, they’re a brand that’s been around for over 20 years, specializing in brow and lash products.
I was excited to test out Salon Perfect’s Perfect Brow Pomade because it’s less than $5 and at your local Walmart and available soon at Walmart.com
Blonde, Light Brown and Dark Brown
You’ll find it in three shades: Blonde, Light Brown, and Dark Brown.
Their Brow Pomade helps fill in brows, shape them, and also holds them in place – it’s an all in one product, no need for separate pencils, powders, or wax. It even comes with a dual ended angled brush and spoolie brush!
The pomade itself comes in a small pot with a twist off lid. The product is quite soft and pigmented – I had to be very careful not to get too much product on the brush.
After a little practice, I found that gently pressing the brush into the pomade and then wiping off the excess on the edge of the jar gave me a nearly perfect amount of product.
A before and after with the Blonde Pomade…
The brush does a nice job of applying the pomade smoothly and easily, and the spoolie side is perfect for smoothing things out. I love that this combo gave my brows that perfectly defined look. Even after a long day at work, and a sweaty workout, it does a nice job staying in place.
How does Salon Perfect compare to the other similar brow pomade-type products? MAC’s Stylish Brow Fluidline Brow Gelcremes, which I have personally reviewed for wht, are similar in pigmentation, but are more expensive, and don’t include a brush.
I’ve also heard that these are comparable to Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow but since I haven’t tried that product I can’t compare them, but I have heard that they’re a decent substitute
By the way, if you’re ever in a rush, this Brow Pomade also works nicely an eyeliner! Check it out in above photo.
Overall, I would definitely say that the Salon Perfect Brow Pomade and brush is a killer deal for less than $5. It requires a bit of practice, but it’s worth it.

I love that this product is inexpensive and I can just run out and get it–definitely going to give it a try. Brows are such a small thing, but they make such a HUGE difference in an overall look.
@lipglossandspandex — I know how seriously you take your brows so this has to be a great product. I love a good drugstore option. You never know when something in my travel bag may go missing. I am glad to know I can find it at retails like Walmart.
I am VERY serious about my brows ;)
I’m impressed. I just use a Boots Botanics pencil on my brows with a brush on the end. It’s very economical, too. I’ve only seen it in one color, so lucky for me, it’s my perfect match.
@lipglossandspandex, Great review, and your eyeliner looks great with the brow Salon Perfect Brow Pomade! I’ve really been trying to get in the routine of doing my brows. I’ve had them done on several occasions by makeup artists, who are really into “brows” and boy, I notice a HUGE difference in my look when they’re done right. It’s just one more thing to get in the habit of doing!
Great post, @lipglossandspandex! I am a big believer in the brow—that’s one of the steps I do not skip when I’m in a rush. These look amazing–definitely going to look into these brow pomades :)
This is a great product! I’m usually a natural-looking brow powder kind-of-gal, rather than a pencil or pomade sculptor. Well, look who’s a sculptor now!
The product is light, creamy and easy to apply and remove. The brush gets good credit as the angled end allows you to create a framework for the brow, while the other end fills in the gaps and gets those stray hairs in place. The fact that the product fills in the brow color on your skin while simultaneously waxing those stray hairs in place, is brilliant.
My only complaint is that the product does seem to clump on the angled brush in spite of wiping of excess on the lip and lid. After washing, the angled brush was sort of bushy and misshapen. I believe this is due to the wax/cream nature of the product that does not easily wash off the brushes.
That’s a small criticism, however…especially considering this is only 5 bucks!
