Makeup mecca Sephoraicon and color experts Pantone have combined to create one of the most exciting and vivid collections of the year. And all I have to say is what took so long?! Certain parings just make sense, and this one is a perfect coupling.

For decades, Pantone has been the final word in color and their iconic color chips are considered little works of art. Each year we’re excited to see which hue is declared the Pantone Color of the Year and watch as the shade pops up in home decor, fashion and makeup.

This year Pantone teamed up with the makeup authorities at Sephora to create a collection based upon the 2012 pick Tangerine Tango. The Sephora + Pantone Universe Color of the Year Collectionicon is bursting with the bright reddish orange hue and is sure to be seen on makeup mavens all summer long.

To celebrate the recently launched line Sephora and Pantone have opened the Pop-Up Color Shop at The Grove in Los Angeles. This week I popped by for a sneak preview at the limited engagement shop.

Open now through Sunday April 22nd at LA’s favorite outdoor mall, the Pop-Up Color Shop is a sleek mini boutique, highlighting the stunning collection. The interactive shop offering mobile check out gives everyone a chance to oogle over and experiment with the vibrant shade. For those unsure of where to start, Sephora Artists will be on hand to offer tips and tricks for incorporating the look.

Let’s take a look at some of the goodies!

From lips and cheeks to nails and even eyes, this line incorporates every shade of tango. But never fear, this color is surprisingly flattering on almost every face and it’s super easy to add a pop of this hue to your makeup regime.

A shiny, sheer gloss is the perfect way to ease into the color. I was immediately drawn to these glowing glosses, the Color of the Year Lipgloss Set icon ($20) featuring four smooth glosses in tangering with different finishes to wear alone or mix and match at will.

And Stef is going to flip for this Color of the Year Creme Lipstickicon ($18) – with the vintage feeling hue and sleek magnetic closure tube, it’s got a modern meets Mad Men appeal that’s hard to resist.

Nail polish addicts will swoon for the Color of the Year Nail Enamel Set icon ($24) featuring four formaldehyde-free bottles of the vivid hue including a killer glittery version.

My organizing obsessed self was most tempted by the bright bags, especially this woven style Tangerine Tango Makeup Bagicon ($28) – it has a super soft faux-leather exterior, double zippers and is the perfect size for packing the essentials.

For those ready to really make a statement, check out the Tangerine Tango Faux Lash Seticon ($28) – seriously, how fab are these falsies?!

I spent some time in the chair of Sephora Artist Helen and got to see the flattering hue at work. A sweep of both shades in the Color of the Year Blush Duoicon ($26) added new life and a soft glow to my pale skin.

But it was the Color of the Year Eyeshadow Quadicon ($24) that really wowed me. Helen put Carnelian, the tango shade, on my lower lid and into the crease. Then she dusted over it with Sparrow, the dark plum. A sweep of the nude Scallop Shell went along the browbone. This artful blend made my baby blues turn a striking and noticeable sea green. I so need this quad!

Well readers – are you ready to tango? Better hurry – this limited edition line won’t be around forever. Dance on over to your local Sephoraicon or get online now to scoop up a few of these beauties!
