I know; it feels like spring isn’t coming anytime soon. I mean, it just snowed at my house in Joshua Tree, CA. We’re not talking flurries, we got 10 inches of snow. In. The. California. Desert. But we all just need to hang in there. Because spring IS coming.
And what better to get us more in the mood for warmer weather than spring fashion?
Perfect timing as well, because there’s a Shopbop sale going on right now! CLICK HERE for all the details (exclusions, etc.) But here’s a cheat sheet, too:
When: February 25, 2019 – March 2, 2019
What: 15% off orders of $200+ | 20% off orders of $500+ | 25% off orders of $800+ (including sale items!)
So, with that knowledge in hand, and dreams of warm weather in mind; allow me to show you the three key spring fashion pieces you need for when spring does finally arrive…
1. Something Pastel
Is there anything more feminine than a soft, sorbet-like shade? And, is there any time better for said shade than spring? (Spoiler: the answer is no.) I don’t care what it is; a creamy yellow dress, a pink dainty floral top or these Sam Edelman Hazel Pumps in Wild Lavender ($139). They’d look great paired with a similar light shade. Or they’d work even with black for just a pop of spring color.
ALTERNATIVE PICK: You really should take a look at these Pink Puma Suedes with floral print ($80) too. You’re welcome.
2. Rainbow-Inspired Anything
Pastels are beautiful. But there are times when you want something more fun, something brighter. What’s brighter than a rainbow? Plus, why settle on one color when you can have ALL the colors! I’m taking a teeny bit of liberty with this Clare V. Flat Clutch in Poppy/Multi Snake ($225) but, it couldn’t have another color on it if it tried! So I’m allowing it.
ALTERNATIVE PICK: These Splendid Sada Espadrille Sneakers ($128) are officially the cutest shoes I’ve ever seen.

3. A Denim Dress
There’s something just so fab about a denim dress. They have this “Oh, this old thing?” vibe. Yet you’re pretty much guaranteed to be the coolest person in the room. Plus, I love that you can dress them up or down. They just work for any occasion, sans weddings or funerals. I love the ease of this Madewell Denim Shirtdress ($98). Add tights and boots and you’ll wear it year round, too.
ALTERNATIVE PICK: If you want to splash out, this See By Chloe Denim Collared Dress ($385) is a worthy splash.
