Doing good has never looked so stylish!
With the globalization of the economy and the ability to purchase almost anything with the click of the button, it’s simple to always stay in style. But what about those of us that want to “do right” with our purchases and wish to put our money where it will do the most good? While it’s easy to pad the bank accounts of the big brands, it’s better to invest in the future of workers worldwide.
So what’s a harried gift shopper with a do-gooder mindset to do? Head on over to Sutton Fitzgerald and browse through their stunning collection of consciously elegant Fair Trade accessories. The people behind this carefully curated collection believe that “who we are is reflected not just in what we wear and the stylish homes we create for ourselves, but in what we do, the choices we make everyday.” And that those choices, even small shopping choices, have the power to change the world.
To that end, partnering with producers and collectives worldwide that provide living wages for their craftsmen, Sutton Fitzgerald provides shoppers with super stylish, Fair Trade products. Browse their selection of home goods and personal accessories and when you see “Fair Trade” in the product description, you will know your purchase is helping someone far away or right here in America.
I’ve been “doing good” on my holiday shopping list and have added a few of Sutton Fitzgerald’s consciously elegant accessories to my cart, including:
• These small but beautiful, Square Handpainted Moroccan Plates would thrill your next dinner party host. Want them for yourself? They also would look great as a catch all for rings, coins, etc next to the sink or on a vanity. Set of 4 colorful plates $26.95
• Not only is this Flower Fashion Tote absolutely adorable, it’s also hand woven and environmentally responsible. Not to mention, the purchase of this wooden handled bag, helps support women (and their families) in Madagascar who use traditional weaving techniques creating goods to earn living wages. This flowered tote is available in two eye catching colors, a vivid green and a rosy purple. $79.95
• Chaotic desks get a touch of class with this Sleeping Bird Paperweight. It’s an old fashioned fave, that’s still useful even in our “paperless” times. Another Fair Trade item, this dreamy bird is made with darkened brass and has a felt lined bottom. $38.95
• This bold but simple Wooden Cuff in rich hues would look great on the wrist of ladies of all ages and styles. Hand crafted with reclaimed wood by artists in Bali, a portion of the proceeds from this cuff supports the Sumatran Orangutan Society. $27.95

Those plates are lovely. They definitely would be great for keys or jewelry; I don’t think I would want to trust them to my guests! :-)
I think I’ve already found a few Christmas gifts on Sutton Fitzgerald for people on my list, thanks for the heads up on such a great store!
There is a blue vase on the website that I might have to have… Fair trade, beautiful and inexpensive! What more can I ask for? I might have to buy it for myself. And one to give also.
I am really taken by the cuff and the wooden handles of the purse. Can you tell l like wood? I think interesting cuffs really make a statement with the most basic outfit. They sure dress up even a plain jane long sleeved collared shirt.
Very impressed with Sutton Fitzgerald. Love when something I do already (shopping) and feel slightly guilty over, can have a positive outcome for someone! The plates above are divine. And I’m LOVING this hand beaded necklace, I can’t believe it’s only $15:
