Welcome to the inaugural post for The Lipstick League! We are a group of beauty bloggers, bound together by the desire to save the world with beauty, one post at a time! Once a week, each member of The Lipstick League will select a favorite post from their blog and we’ll assemble the links in one tidy weekly post for your reading pleasure.

We’ve gathered together a fantastic group of beauty bloggers whose content spans the world of beauty on topics such as makeup, skin care, nail care, fragrance and beyond!

To add a bit of personality to these posts, we’ll also ask each Lipstick League member to answer a “Question of the Week”, which they will answer on their own post. So be sure to check all the member’s responses! We hope you enjoy these weekly posts—we are so proud of the group we’ve assembled and we can’t wait to share this great content with you, our readers!

The Question of the Week for this inaugural post is: If you could only wear one lip product for the rest of all time (gasp!), what would it be?

Answer: Stef says “Well, start out with a tough one, why don’t you?! But if pressed I’d have to say Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Beauty. It’s the perfect everyday pinky coral with great pigment. It lights up your face and looks good with everything. It also is discontinued, of course!”

Here are this week’s links…

Beauty Junkies Unite – just can’t get enough of Urban Decay’s Greed Eyeshadow Primer Potion.

Clumps of Mascara – tried brown eyeliner for the first time. It wasn’t what she thought it was.

EauMG – reviews a NEST candle. It’s fragrance will put a smile on your face.

Nouveau Cheap – puts the new Revlon Crazy Shine Nail Buffer to the test. Does it really give you 400% shiner nails in seconds?

Orange to LA – has her first experience with Jill Stuart Cream Eye Shadows, see if these shimmery shadows get you noticed!

Pink Sith – is finally able to get some much needed color on to her pale cheeks thanks to Yves Saint Laurent Creme de Blush # 5. No Pinching required!

Phyrra – discusses foundations, skin undertones & overtones and shows you her naked face!

Vampy Varnish – Zoya ModMattes Collection for Spring 2011 swatches & review.

we heart this – takes a look at the new Hourglass Aura Cheek and Lip Stains. Finally, a stain that you can be happy about!

What do you think readers? If YOU could only wear one lip product for the rest of all time (gasp!), what would it be?

See you next week!

  1. I don’t think I could live with just one lip product! I would have to choose blue Chapstick as a necessity and I would somehow sneak in pink lip gloss (probably a Lancome Juicy Tubes color).

    1. I’m with you @jeni – If I only get ONE lip product, I have to go with a balm. I’m picking good old Burts Bees – the classic bees wax version.

  2. What an interesting topic. I am not sure if this cheating and not really answering the question but, since I am always fighting dry lips. So, if I can only have one thing I have to pick something practical. My top weapons to combat dry lips are Aquaphor and Aloe Vera. Aquaphor helps mend my lips when they are chapped and painful. Aloe vera is a wonderful “treatment” that I put on my lips at bedtime. It soaks in and my lips are brand new in the morning.

  3. If I had to pick, I’d probably choose Petals and Peacocks from MAC’s Liberty of London collection. As long as I could get an unlimited amount. It’s such a bright magenta pink.

  4. I’m known for never being without my Sugar! Fresh’s lip treatment can be found in my poketbook, bathroom and work. It has been for years my go-to fave hands down. I love it in Rose now too.. Keeps my lips perfect! As far as Lipsticks go, I have a new favorite by Dior. Dior Lip Addict-002 Polish smoothing lacquer- pretty sheer pink- looks like your own lips have gone hollywood in one foul swoop!

  5. I’m so excited for the Lipstick League. And I may be biased but I think the LL logo is about the coolest thing ever! Love the colors and graphics and shiny, armor-y looking lipsticks..

  6. Just one? ONE? *whimpers* Oh, fine. Nivea’s A Kiss of Moisture. I’ve gone through tubes of this stuff.

But seriously, I could never live with just the Nivea for all time. I’d need AT LEAST my Stila lip glazes in Passionfruit and Grapefruit, my Jemma Kid lipstick in Siren, and my Benefit lipsticks in Jing-a-ling and Nice Knickers by my side. I just bore that easily.

  7. That’s a really tough one… if I cold ONLY pick one, probably Smith’s Rosebud Salve. But could I claim that as a “body” product, and keep my MAC lipglass in Splashing instead? Or maybe Lychee Luxe… or maybe Splashing…

  8. This is a really hard question! I’m going to be super boring and say Aquaphor because it beats my chapped lips like nothing else.

  9. I love the concept of the Lipstick League! You’re going to make it easy for us to hit all the beauty highlights every week!

  10. This is such a fun concept!

One? Just ONE? Boo. But I’d have to say my C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Tint in Magenta Mint. Just enough color to be interesting, glossy but not goopy or sticky and has that fun burst of mint. LOVE it.
