Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Full-Coverage Concealer swatches and review

I like to think of myself as a concealer connoisseur. I’m one of those ladies who have been blessed with breakouts well into adulthood (Yay!) I’ve also started getting dark circles, which has been super fun. My point is: concealer is my friend. I’ve got concealers for blemishes, concealers for discoloration, concealers for dark circles, concealers for highlighting–there seems to be a concealer for pretty much everything. I was really excited to try the Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Full-Coverage Concealer ($29) because I’m always looking for a new favorite concealer. Spoiler alert: I found it!

This concealer is housed in a funky, gunmetal tube that has some geometric/asymmetrical cut outs that reveal the shade of the product inside. The signature “UD” is stamped on the side. This is probably the coolest tube of concealer I’ve ever laid eyes on. The applicator wand is a fairly standard sponge-tipped doe foot. The consistency of the product is a thin, highly blendable cream. This incredibly pigmented formula dries to a matte finish that lasts all day and all night. And it covers everything, even tattoos!

Urban Decay’s All Nighter Waterproof Full-Coverage Concealer is available in 14 shades.

I got to try Fair Warm and Fair Neutral–both were excellent matches for my very pale self. A little goes a long way with this concealer and once it’s set, it’s locked into place. Due to the pigmentation and matte quality of this product, you’ll want to apply it to well-moisturized skin for the most natural look. Be sure to use an eye cream and let it absorb fully before applying to under eyes–the longwear formula can be drying. The best application I achieved was by dabbing the tiniest bit of product directly on the blemish with a concealer brush, letting it sit for a minute or two, then gently blending it out/patting it in. It seemed to set the product better.

For under eyes and highlighting, dabbing this product with the wand, letting it sit for a minute, and then patting/blending out gently with my fingers worked best. I didn’t even need to set this with powder for it to last all day. As a side bonus, I have a nose than is always shiny and needing powdered–with a tiny dot of concealer blended on my nose, I stayed shine-free for the better part of the day. Game changer!

Have you tried Urban Decay’s All Nighter concealer yet? Has anybody tried to use concealer to cover a tattoo and how’d that work out for you? I want to hear all about it in the comments!

  1. I tested UD All Nighter Waterproof Full-Coverage Concealer in Medium Light. Like you, @krista, I’m always looking for a new favorite concealer, and this one is great! The formula blends easily then locks in place once it’s dry. Great tip about applying eye cream first; the product is definitely on the dry side otherwise. It’s great for covering dark spots and blemishes, and the color range offers something for everyone. And oh boy, that packaging! So cool!

  2. It’s definitely the coolest looking tube of concealer that I’ve ever owned, AND it’s a fantastic product too. I loooove this.

  3. This is the creamiest, best stay-put, natural-looking concealer since Erase Paste! I also subbed this out for UD’s primer potion (that I’m also in love with). Leave it to UD when it comes to conceal and seal…they’ve got these wrapped up!

  4. I tried this concealer and I really like the coverage, it’s veey creamy, and not to mention how UD can make something as basic as concealer look cool… love it!
