We can’t get enough of IT Cosmetics at we heart this.

Seriously, they make some of the greatest makeup kit essentials out there.

Where they really exceed is in their foundation-style skincare. I can’t tell you how much it means to use a product that offers coverage, conceals redness and blemishes, and perfects my appearance while improving my skin at the same time.

The newest product in their arsenal is the It Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact (available here). It’s one part cream foundation and one part serum—this beauty is a game-changer, y’all!

IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Compact Reviews

IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Compact with a brush

We previously reviewed IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream (check it out here!) and loved it (duh).

I appreciate the genius mind that decided to put the anti-aging skincare benefits of that cream into a full coverage foundation in a portable compact.

Seriously, it’s completely brilliant.

Thanks to its proprietary Anti-Aging Armour Regenerative Concentrate, skin is more moisturized, more radiant and imperfections are diminished. We’re talking instant results!

Oh, and did I mention that Confidence in a Compact also contains SPF50?

This fair lady is ridiculously excited about that, by the way. I swear if I look at the sun sideways I burn.

IT Cosmetics Confidence with a large white and silver compact housing

The large white and silver compact opens with the push of a button.

Revealed are a mirror and a lid housing a disc-shaped sponge applicator for touch-ups on the go.

When you lift that lid, you see the real star of the show–a generous well of this gorgeous skin-improving foundation.

Pro tip: Make sure you keep that lid sealed when you close your compact, it will keep the product fresh and prevent it from drying out.

Now, I don’t know about you, but I love an airbrushed look. I’m of an age where less is more and I find that I get the best foundation application from a brush.

IT Cosmetics has you covered!

Their Heavenly Skin Skin-Smoothing Complexion Brush #704 ($48) is exactly what you need to get a flawless finish.

The sponge applicator that comes with the Confidence in a Compact is fabulous, but this brush is to die for.

The slanted head glides over the contours of your face and the densely packed bristles deposit the Goldilocks amount of product (i.e. Just right.)

In truth, any of their Heavenly Skin brushes (all in the 700 number range) are going to work great with this. Shown in our photo is #702, which has a domed top.

When you use these brushes to apply Confidence in a Compact, it looks like you’re wearing nothing but fresh skin.

IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Compact Shades

IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Compact Shades

The product itself is extremely creamy without being heavy or dense.

It’s rich without being too rich.

A little goes a long way, too.

The pigmentation is excellent. I am extremely pale and the Fair shade was a perfect match for my skin tone.

The Confidence in a Compactâ„¢ is offered in 7 universally flattering shades (Fair, Light, Medium, Medium Tan, Tan, Rich and Deep), so you’re sure to find your perfect match.

I have oily skin, so sometimes I got a little shiny (I do get shiny with every foundation I wear), but the overall appearance of my skin improved over time.

Fine lines seemed to plump up and my pores didn’t seem as noticeable. I was able to skip moisturizer at night.

I have to say that if you have dry skin or more “mature” skin, you kind of need this.

The hydration this provided was off the charts and I think you would see the greatest improvement in your skin.

Overall, my love affair with IT Cosmetics continues. Just when I think they can’t top themselves, they go and do it. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

  1. I’m so excited to see this fab product reviewed because I actually bought it and love it! My skin is a ghostly olive during the winter, and Fair is perfect for me. I’ve been using the sponge applicator to put on the product, and then going over my face with the slanted brush (yes, I bought that, too!). I love how buildable the color is, and how it really does feel like a treatment as well as a cosmetic product. I plan to go up a shade to Light for the summer. SPF 50 seals the deal for me. Great post, @krista!

  2. I love confidence cream! That jar lasts quite awhile. Confidence in a compact is on my list for the next product from IT I am going to buy. I have two IT Foundations that I need to use first. I am on the hunt for the perfect SPF combination.

  3. I am testing this out in Fair, and I love it! It really does make your face looks so fresh and rested, like you just had an excellent nap. I’ve been using a buffing brush and then pressing a little more in with a Beauty Blender in the areas that need more coverage.

  4. I LOVE the Confidence in a Cream! It’s exactly the perfect TLC for whatever skin crisis may strike. I always apply foundation type products with a brush (usually one from IT Cosmetics, of course).
