Napolean-Perdis-Auto-Pilot-primer for people who hate primer

Question of the Week: Do you use face primer? If so, what are some of your favorites?

Answer: I do not wear primer on a daily basis – but I do pull it out when wearing foundation or for big nights out. My absolute favorite is the Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Pre-Foundation Primer – it’s a water based primer that never clogs my skin or looks greasy and really locks makeup into place. BUT its best quality is that it leaves my skin looking smoother and clearer instantly – it’s like invisible makeup!

  1. I don’t often wear it either, Tyna, but I do like the Rimmel 10 in 1 face primer. It seems to make my skin very soft.

    1. Good to know @vyrleeblake! I always check out the Rimmel displays but honestly I am not too familiar with the brand and rarely pick anything up. Now I know to try the primer – thanks for the tip!

  2. I don’t use a primer everyday but I do like to use Hourglass primer and Benefit porefessional when I have an event to go to (which is like, never) :)

  3. I am crazy for face primer and am always on the look out for the perfect one!! The Napolean Perdis primer is great. But my favorite is the Too Faced Primed and Poreless. It is just the best that I have found so far but I keep trying different ones.

    1. People really love the Too Faced primers. I haven’t tried the face ones yet, but I do use the Shadow Insurance Primer on my eyelids almost daily. Good stuff!

  4. I suspect that regular primer use would be a good idea, but I too typically reserve it for special nights out. I like Benefit’s Porefessional as well, and The Balm’s Time Balm.

  5. I need all- Hydrating the help or primer I can get.. I have several that work well. NARS Radiance enhancing Pro-Prime,Laura Mercier Foundation Primer- awesome.. So is Vincent Longo Water Canvas!

  6. I don’t always wear face primer, but when I do, it’s MAC Prep+Prime Face Protect SPF 50 in the summer because it offers excellent sun protection without turning my face into an oily mess, and MAC Prep+Prime Natural Radiance during the winter because my skin can turn “combo” in the worst way.

  7. I don’t use primer at all–it’s usually loaded with silicones and that and my entire face is a recipe for a breakout. It makes me sad because I’d like to be a little more flawless :(
