Question of the Week: What is the one part of your beauty routine that seems to get neglected most often?

Answer: Body lotion, for sure. By the time I get out of the shower I just want to dry off and get in my jim jams. Plus, I know I have at least 15 minutes of hair drying to follow so I want to get on with that. Luckily, since I started using Dove Deep Moisture Nourishing Body Wash I don’t need lotion anyway. So. Much. Moisture!

Here’s what happened this week with The League…

Guest Post of the Week, as chosen by EauMG – One of my favorite perfume blogs, The Candy Perfume Boy, simply explains one of the most amazing technologies in the perfume world, headspace. It sounds so sci-fi and well, it sort of is. These are machines that captures smells. Yeah, really.

How about you, we heartsters: What is the one part of your beauty routine that seems to get neglected most often?

  1. Body lotion/body butter. That extra step is almost too much for this lazy gal. I say “almost” because I live in New England and our winters are so brutal that if I don’t stay well moisturized, I fear I might shed my entire skin like a snake :/ The Body Shop’s body butters are my bff’s right now.

  2. I’m usually pretty bad about moisturizing my skin, but this year I’ve really had to stay on top of it because if I don’t, it’s itchy and flaky :(

Instead, I’ve ignored my hair. While it’s probably a good thing for my hair’s health that I haven’t grabbed a blow dryer in months, my hair needs a little TLC and a good trim.

  3. I am also neglectful when it comes to moisturizing. However, when I do moisturize my skin — I really lay it on thick and let it sink in my skin. Organic coconut oil is one of my favorites.

  4. I often forget to moisturize after I shower..A big no-no! This winter I have started to use coconut oil, thanks to my hubby’s high recommendation and prodding. It’s so good and even on occasion I’m caught eating some.. Don’t knock it until you try it yourself!
