That and more in The Lipstick League, week of 10.9.17

Question of the Week: Mascara, lipstick, eye shadow: you have to eliminate one from your routine FOREVER. Which would you chose?

Answer: I do not like having to make this decision one bit! But I’m going to be methodical about it. No way the answer is lipstick. I’d break the rules and be in beauty jail within a day. And I can’t imagine a world of plain eyelids. What a boring place that would be! So, although the thought of naked lashes is tough, I gotta say mascara. I could always do some tightlining to beef them up, or get eyelash extensions.

By the way, that’s Revlon Dramatic Definition mascara, Surrat Beauty eyeshadow in Chinchilla and MAC lipstick in Diva.

Phew! That was hard…Here’s what the League was up to last week.

Beautygeeks – is sick to death of this particular beauty myth and has this to say to anyone who perpetuates it: do the darned math.

Beauty Junkies Unite – Halloween is one of the most fun times of the year for beauty collections, and Amber loves Halloween! Check out these spooky nail polishes from Salon Perfect from their Wicked Beauty Collection.

fanserviced-b – Inspired by shocking research, I wrote the script for a short video about how toxic beauty products are most often marketed to women of color.

Gouldylox is Currently Craving: I’m torn between two palettes…I love the Smashbox Photo Strip palette for great transition shades, but I really want the new Huda Beauty palette. Decisions, decisions…

Your turn we heartsters, which would you eliminate forever if you had to: mascara, lipstick, eye shadow? Tell us in the comments below…

  1. I think I have to go with eye shadow, as sad as I would be, my eyes don’t look right without mascara, and no way am I ever saying bye bye to my lipstick!!!

  2. I’d vote eyeshadow. Mascara makes my eyes pop and I’m too pale to go without lipstick!
