Eucerin brings hydration home

Eucerin Daily Protection Lotion

I live in the California desert. And as you’d imagine, it’s a dry, thirsty kind of place. While the rest of the country is dealing with the typical April showers, the desert (and the people in it) are feeling a bit parched right about now! It’s the perfect time to host an at home spa party, with a focus on some much needed hydration.

And honestly, I love any excuse to make spa water!

As new members of the Eucerin Skin First Network we’re learning what helps skin flourish (and sharing it with you!) This month, we’re focusing on hydration, and throwing in the added bonus of relaxation…which helps YOU flourish.

Want to host your own home spa party? Here are the essentials.

Products:

Mask – a mask is a great home spa product. You can draw impurities out of your skin, exfoliate so that your finishing products absorb better and laugh with your friends at your creature-like face! We used Lush Mask of Magnaminty.

Eye Pads – not only do eye pads force you to relax (you have to lay down and close your eyes!) you can multitask and sneak in some hydration to your eye area while the mask is working. Earth Therapeutics Cucumber Eye Pads are a great low cost option.

Moisturizer and Lotion – Eucerin has you covered here with options that moisturize AND protect. Their lightweight Daily Protection line contains SPF (15 for the lotion and 30 for the moisturizer), is Dermatologist recommended and fragrance-free. It’s a good choice for any location, as protecting your skin is just as important on a rainy day as it is on a sunny day in the desert.

Extras:

Hairbands (and/or ponytail holders) – masks are great, but not in your hair.

Magazines – pick up the latest issues of your favorite mags so you and your guests can dish as you relax.

Music – download some relaxing music to create a true spa like atmosphere.

Food and Drink:

• All this relaxing is hard work! So you’re going to need some nourishment. A tray of healthy snacks will be welcome by all. I went with fruits, veggies and hummus.

Everyone knows water helps keep your skin hydrated, but did you know what you eat can help too? Eucerin shared this great tip with us:

Keeping your body hydrated, inside and out, helps your skin look younger and healthier. Water removes toxins in your system and helps your body retain important nutrients. So, in addition to the recommended 9-13 cups of water each day, hydrate your skin from within with moisture rich foods. Don’t shy away from vitamin-loaded citrus fruit, nuts, whole grains, broccoli, sunflower seeds, egg yolks and milk.

• The easiest way to get those 9-13 cups a day is spa water. But save the $150 and make it at home.

That’s it – the makings for an at-home spa party. Just add friends and get relaxing and hydrating!

And once you’re done, sit back and enjoy the smiles you’ll get over your glowing skin!

we heartsters, we’re ecstatic to be working with Eucerin! Are you a fan of the line?

  1. Eucerin is awesome for my dry, chapped, (over washed), hands! What a fun idea, a spa party with a friend. Love it.

  2. Wish I was there! FUN!! I’ve been using Eucerin for years.. I have nothing but love for this line.. So yes, I’m a fan! My dry skin responds well to it! I have a bottle of Plus intensive repair lotion right on my desk.

  3. A spa party is such a fun idea–perfect for a girls’ afternoon or even pre-bachelorette pampering! The Earth Therapeutics Cucumber Eye Pads are great. You’re totally right @stef; they do force you to take a few moments for relaxation! Also love the Eucerin face lotion. This weird in-between seasons time always makes my skin so dry, especially on my face. The Eucerin is lightweight, so I don’t feel like I’m lopping anything on. Also, can’t beat the built-in SPF–not using SPF daily is inexcusable!

  4. I want the doggy!!! To answer the question, I love Eucerin, particularly Aquaphor. That stuff is a miracle product. I’ve used it on my face (it didn’t break me out!), on my lips, on my hands, on my tattoos as they healed. Your party looks so fun!

  5. Eucerin is a classic line that is always a go to for me! They know skin like nobody else!! And I am super jealous of your awesome spa party. Healthy relaxation sounds like a dream to me right now. I feel like a hot mess!!

  6. @stef, of course I’ll be able to make it to your next one. This is genius! I love Eucerin and this seems like so much fun. I suspect that the beautiful dog had a facial and some snacks and water as well–just look at that smile!

  7. I’m all for a spa day with your besties. How cute are you two? I love Mask of Magnaminty. It feels so good on. Oh and Eucerin’s one of my fav drugstore lotion brands! Great post…Makes me want my weekend back! :)

  8. I’m a little jealous- not only did you have a spa party, but you got to sit OUTSIDE to enjoy it! It’s getting warmer here, but it’s not that warm yet. And thanks for the link back to the spa water post! It’s a nice little nudge to get me back in the hydration habit.
