The latest QVC collection offers 6 tarte must-haves packed inside your new favorite cosmetics bag!
I always get so excited when I see that tarte has a special collection coming to QVC. It always feels a little bit like Christmas. It’s almost as if your sister or your best friend has picked out the perfect presents just for you. Tarte sets are always full of surprises and never fail to amaze me.
So needless to say, I was thrilled when I received the tarte Journey to Natural Beauty Collection from QVC for review. This lovely 7 piece set retails for $65.94, is available exclusively at QVC, and is perfect for spring.
The Journey to Natural Beauty Collection includes:
12-Hour Amazonian Clay Blush in Fearless — I was already a fan of the Amazonian Clay Blush, as were a number of readers and testers (read our review here). This shade should be no exception.
It’s a bright, warm medium pink with gold micro glitter. It applies like a dream, never streaky or splotchy, and it stays put all day. Additionally it doesn’t look like a glitter bomb exploded on your face. Fearless looks almost neon in the pan, but it shows up on the cheek as a lovely pop of pink. It is perfect for your transition into spring, brightening your face with a subtle glow.
Amazonian Butter Lipstick in Plummy Rose – This is a lovely lipstick, buttery soft and lightweight. Plummy Rose makes a great everyday shade, it’s is a dirty pink is very subtle, natural shade that should flatter anyone. It wears sheer to medium. One eco-friendly note – the lipstick tube is made from recycled cardboard-like material and it seems to be holding up just fine in my purse.
Airbrush Finish Bamboo Foundation Brush – This brush is unique
and lovely, and features a gorgeous woven fabric zigzag pattern on its handle. I have never before applied foundation with a brush – and I wish I had sooner. This brush made it so easy; the densely packed but super soft bristles help to buff foundation into your skin. I felt like an expert.
Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15 – Available in five shades: Fair, Light, Medium, Tan, Deep — I tested the foundation in Fair. This foundation is another favorite here at we heart this. Despite this, I was nervous to try it, as foundation usually feels like a mask on me, turns my skin a weird color, or melts immediately on my oily skin. Tarte’s fantastic formula does none of those things.

The Amazonian Clay Foundation feels natural and the color looks like my skin, only better. Plus, it stays put through much of the day, despite my oily skin. When I apply with the foundation brush, I get an almost air-brushed quality look. This stuff can really hide the pores. I am in love!
Lights, Camera, Flashes! Statement Mascara in black – An offshoot of the amazing cult classic Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara, this new version has a more defined brush that dramatically enhances your lash length. The formula and brush combine to bring you a much more intense and dramatic look.
With this mascara, my lashes were fuller, longer, and darker than the original version. I love the new version, but for my typically natural look I prefer the original version. Although, I will rely on the new version for nighttime and more dramatic looks.
One Brow Architect Brow Shaper – Available in three different shades, Fair/Light, Medium/Deep, and Tan; I tested Fair/Light. I have to say this is a very unique product. The Brow Shaper includes a retractable triangular pencil tip, concealer, a sponge tip concealer applicator and a spiral brow comb. I do not typically use brow products, but in order to give a balanced review, I gave it a few test runs.
I was pleasantly surprised. Even though I have a full brow, this shaper helped to provide more shape and definition without looking weird or fake. I suggest that everyone could benefit from this shaper, not just those with sparse brows.
tarte Cosmetics Bag – This lovely and large fold-over envelope style bag can be used as a make-up bag or as a clutch purse. It is reminiscent of the Missoni style and showcases the same woven zigzag pattern as the brush. It is amazing! And will get lots of use toting my makeup essentials in style.

Pros:
• A number of tarte customer favorites all in one kit
• The overall value ($64.95 gets you approximately $165 worth of amazing products)
Cons:
• Limited availability; a few of the shades have already sold out on QVC
But do not worry too much if your shade is gone, this collection will be released two more times this year, with summer and fall/winter colors. I plan on signing up for Auto-delivery, imo this set is worth it!
we heartsters – do you celebrate every time QVC releases another tarte collection?

This set looks wonderful! I am a huge fan of Tarte sets. I think the only product I would not use from here is the Mascara because I have used the other version and it smudged on me. Other than that, everything else looks extremely promising! I’m most interested in the foundation. The Amazonian Clay Blushes are one of my favorite makeup products. In fact, my favorite color of theirs is actually one that I got from an older kit called Peaceful. It’s awesome. Great review!
I picked this set up a little while ago and it’s awesome. I mostly wanted it for the brow architect–that thing is like my new BFF. It fills in my brows naturally, the brush blends things out and the powder hides any new brow hairs sprouting between pluckings. I also snagged this for the blush–I have what one may call “an addiction”. :P If you haven’t tried Tarte yet (i.e. you live in a cave or are a C.H.U.D.), this is a nice way to start.
Ooh, this kit looks like another hard-to-resist winner from tarte. One question, @kellie76 – since you tested the Fair foundation, can you tell me if the undertones are warm or cool? If you say warm, I’m pulling the trigger on this purchase! Fingers crossed…
@turboterp — I purchased the fair shade and it skews warm/neutral–no pink tones whatsoever. It is all kinds of delightful.
Everyone that I have seen try this puts the undertones more in the warm family. While I do think that this is fairly accurate, for some reason it still works for me. I usually gravitate more towards cool undertones. But this warm somehow works for me. In my mind this makes it a bit more versatile-which is a good thing!
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I love Tarte… Their Amazonia clay blush is amazing, that lipstick looks gorgeous and I am intrigued by that brow shaper, HOWEVER, I am simply in LOVE with that Missoni-esque printed cosmetics bag and foundation brush. Beautiful!
I love all almost all things Tarte, and this collection is simply gorgeous! The blush is a delicate, delectable shade of pink. I like their mascara but always wish it had more “oomph”–perhaps this version would work more effectively (this was the ONE product which left me a bit disappointed). The brow shaper fascinates me as well; the foundation is tempting enough to possibly switch from my Lancome powder. And the gorgeous pattern of the cosmetic bag and brushes . . . Nicely done, @kellie!
Ohmygosh, how cute!!! I love tarte–I’ve tried a sample of that foundation (got it from Sephora) and I’ve tried the Amazonian clay blush (as well as numerous other products). This looks like a nice set, but $65 is a little on the high end for me since I already have a fave brow product and don’t wear lipstick that often.
I do like the shade of lipstick and the brush is simply beautiful!
