Cold Weather Skincare recommendations from the lipstick league

Question of the Week: How do you change your facial skincare ritual for cooler months?

Answer: My oily skin gets a little less so in fall and winter. So I need to add a bit more moisture. I love the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin collection because it covers any season/current skin condition. Where the serum-like Ceramidin Liquid is great in the summer, I move to the Ceramidin Cream in the winter when my skin needs more moisture.

Here’s what was up with the League this week…

Clumps of Mascara – The cooler weather means it’s time to boost up the skincare routine. I’m adding this baby to my winter regimen list.

  1. Once it’s cold enough for me to run my house heat with the wood stove, I pretty much require a heavy face cream (currently Dr. Brandt DNA cream) for bedtime or else my face peels off like a lizard’s. I usually skew oily, but that wood stove just cooks my skin. But it feels amazing, so worth it.

  2. I don’t have to change my face routine too much other than having to wear lip balm way more regularly. I do up the heavy body cream though, I can’t keep up with how dry my skin gets. I still have oil problems if I use a heavier face cream.
