Cold Weather Skincare recommendations from the lipstick league

Question of the Week: How do you change your facial skincare ritual for cooler months?

Answer: My oily skin gets a little less so in fall and winter. So I need to add a bit more moisture. I love the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin collection because it covers any season/current skin condition. Where the serum-like Ceramidin Liquid is great in the summer, I move to the Ceramidin Cream in the winter when my skin needs more moisture.

Here’s what was up with the League this week…

Phyrra – shares the Best Ways to Transition from Autumn to Winter!

Prime Beauty – has traveling to Paris on her bucket list, but until then she will be satisfied with the Wander Beauty 4-pc. Paris Collection!

Beautygeeks – World Psoriasis Day was on October 29th and I learned stuff. Something related to psoriasis; it’s called psoriatic arthritis; delivers a double-whammy of potential misery: it affects skin and it affects joints, too. But it’s not a life sentence!

Beauty Junkies Unite – Love shopping for beauty products? You’re going to love it even more if you win 1 of the 2 CVS/pharmacy $50 gift cards Amber is giving away. Imagine what you’d treat yourself to!

Blushing Noir – If you’ve never splurged on Chanel nail polish NOW is the time! Check out the latest Chanel Le Vernis and shop quickly – they’re limited edition!

Clumps of Mascara – The cooler weather means it’s time to boost up the skincare routine. I’m adding this baby to my winter regimen list.

EauMG – smell absolutely yummy this autumn with these scented bath and body products.

Gouldylox Reviews – This is my favorite makeup line right now and no one else is talking about it. How is that even possible?

My Beauty Bunny – Fun, flirty and affordable? Like its eponymous makeup look, the Jordana Cosmetics Cat Eye Liner is sure to be a classic. See why you need this drugstore fave!

My Newest Addiction – Laura invites you to take a dip in her review of the Tom Ford Nude Dip Eye Color Quad. You DON’T want to miss it.

Nouveau Cheap – The biggest news to hit the world of drugstore beauty (and drugstores in general) occurred this week. Click here for a summary of what we know so far.

Olive & Ivy – Are you as excited about the BECCA Champagne Glow palette as I am? Luckily, you’re not too late to enter to WIN one here!

Once it’s cold enough for me to run my house heat with the wood stove, I pretty much require a heavy face cream (currently Dr. Brandt DNA cream) for bedtime or else my face peels off like a lizard’s. I usually skew oily, but that wood stove just cooks my skin. But it feels amazing, so worth it.

I don’t have to change my face routine too much other than having to wear lip balm way more regularly. I do up the heavy body cream though, I can’t keep up with how dry my skin gets. I still have oil problems if I use a heavier face cream.
