Happy 4th of July to our readers in the US! I’m celebrating our freedom from the British empire with the most American nails I could muster, the Salon Perfect Rocking the Red, White and Blue topcoats.

I especially love Liberty Bubbles (shown on the pinkies) but I got literal bubbles while trying to build up the coverage. But it’s so cute it’s totally worth trying again. Rockets Red Glare (the finger highest on the image) is way easier to use, and more sparkly too!

Did I mention these are less than 4 bucks a pop? That’s a cause for celebration.

Ok, time for some Leaguing…

Question of the Week: What was your first “signature scent’? Do you still wear it?

Answer: I wore Thierry Mugler Angel for many years in the 90s, and no, I don’t wear it anymore. I had a work friend hijack it from me and use so much of it on a daily basis that I had to switch scents. But I still like how it smells. It was the start of my gourmand obsession (it’s a vanilla and chocolate oriental, yum.)

Here’s what was up with the League this week.

  1. My first signature scent was Victoria’s Secret Peach Hyacinth. I wore it all through college and then they discontinued it. My husband was devastated–we started dating right before we went to colleges 3 hours away and were too poor for frequent phone calls or visits, so emails and frequent letters spritzed with our signature scents was pretty much it for us. I did manage to snag a bottle that I only use on special occasions–namely our anniversary. I will cry when it runs out. Victoria’s Secret needs to bring it back!!!!
