That and more in The Lipstick League, week of 3.5.18

Question of the Week: What three products do you reach for most? At least in this past week…

Answer: I don’t know if I was preempting the time change, but I was all about adding some glow to my winter skin this past week! The products that did that for me are:

Sunday Riley Good Genes – This lactic acid wonder is like a magic wand for your skin. No joke! It exfoliates, brightens, plumps…I half expect it to fold my laundry too. The price tag is tough ($158, ouch.) But considering how much it does and how my skin utterly LOVES it, this is a must-have for me.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid (in Pink) – I have found NOTHING that works as good at brightening my dark circles around my eyes than this.

Hourglass Vanish Flash Highlighting Stick (in Champagne Flash) – Oh, this is a BEAUTY. Love the precise angled tip, the creamy and oh-so blendable texture and the candlelit-like glow. (Review coming soon.)

Here’s what was up with The league last week…

My Beauty Bunny – has a new obsession. If you’re into dark, apothecary style bath and body products, you will LOVE this brand called Klarif!

Prime Beauty – For a stunning rosy pink with shimmering gold highlight (inspired by the lights of the Eiffel Tower at sunset) get your hands on the new BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Parisian Lights. The embossed design is as gorgeous as the glow!

Slashed Beauty – Ready for wedding season? Check out these picks for spring wedding guest dresses that are affordable and available on Amazon!

we heart this – A moisturizer that contains an ingredient that tigers roll in? A lip balm that looks like a French cookie? A hand cream that reminds you of ice cream? Check out the K Beauty line that offers ALL that!

Blushing Noir – If you thought NARS couldn’t make their highlighting products even better you thought wrong! Launching in mid-March the NARS Change of Sheen Highlighting Powder collection features a new innovative formula that will give life to old faves (some of which were Multiples in the past!) and feature brand new ones.

EauMG – Have you ever wanted to smell like you’ve awaken from your slumber in the mausoleum and need to go feed on the living? Or ever wanted to smell like a bat cave? If you answered “yes”, let me suggest you try this perfume.

(Wondering what the Lipstick League is? Find out here.)

My Beauty Bunny is Currently Craving: the new Becca Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder. It’s made with 50% water and glycerin for a “mist like effect on skin.” All marketing hype? Maybe or maybe not, but I want to try it!

  1. I can’t get enough HIGHLIGHTER lately. I feel like it’s been a long dreary winter, so I’m digging having a nice, intense GLOW.
My other two go-to products are mascara primer (and mascara); and a good brow pencil.

  2. I’ve been reaching for Lipstick Queen’s new Saint Plum sheer lipstick, Burberry’s Lip & Cheek Bloom in Purple Tulip, and good ol’ Touche Eclat. I’ve been drawn to purple makeup lately and my winter-abused skin has needed a more sheer and luminous concealer/highlighter.
